I modestly digitally enhanced some images in some galleries. Because my software (Canon Digital Photo Professional and Adobe Photoshop Elements) is more sophisticated than my cameras’ processing capacities, enhancement may make certain images appear closer to or further from reality. I aimed for what looked best and natural.
The majority of my photos didn't receive enhancement. I often had incredibly good shooting conditions in the field. I mainly used enhancement to occasionally improve the brightness of landscape photos. I also often brightened my telephoto wildlife shots because my long lenses typically gather less light than my standard scenery lens. Additionally, I expanded and cropped many wildlife photos so the critters would be easier to see. Below are examples of enhancement I’ve implemented.
